Fly Fishing is a way of life for Tony, from river fishing on the Derbyshire Wye, boat fishing reservoirs or on his favourite Loch Corrib on Irelands west coast. As a regular visitor to Montana and Wyoming during September, Tony will be able to advise on destination fly fishing. As a convert to saltwater fly fishing and a recent visitor to the Cook Islands, angling writer Tony practices it all (that's why he is never in the shop! and recently got the nickname "Judith Chalmers").

Steve is Manager of our Stockport Shop. He has been a keen game angler all his life and is our specialist small water and lake angler, although he has been known to venture north of the border to enjoy some salmon fishing. Steve only ever entered one reservoir competition in which he came second reaching a national final in the process. He then retired from competitive fishing. He still lives off his 100% record!

Peter is Manager of our Bakewell Shop. He is an APGAI Casting Instructor, River Guide, Fly Tying Instructor - a human (so we are told) encyclopaedia of river fishing. Peter is never happier than when he is out on the local rivers or demonstrating his fly tying skills. Peter is a mine of information on Derbyshire's rivers and is always pleased to share his expertise with visitors to the shop or people planning to visit the area (the Bakewell shop is an essential starting point for anyone visiting the area intending to fish Derbyshire rivers). If you are visiting the area and are unable to get to the Bakewell shop, Peter is more than happy to either post or drop off at your Hotel/Guest house suitable flies, etc., for the time of year.

Denis is co-founder - now retired from the running of the shop (that's what he tells us anyway) - and still retains the position of in-house Casting Instructor. Denis is a qualified STANIC Casting Instructor, a keen salmon angler and our Cuba specialist. He is often spotted lurking in our Stockport shop camouflaged as a staff member and will help 'iron' out those casting flaws.

Three! or is it now four? consecutive years on the England world fly fishing team and three times English National rivers champion. John is our in-house (at least he seems to be in the Stockport shop most days!) River Guide. If you would like a day's fishing with the best then look no further!
